This position is responsible for assisting providers and manages clinical functions in the department.
We are looking for a Medical Assistant with medical background to work the front office, handle incoming phone calls from patients with medical questions, helping triage calls, calling patients with lab results, etc.
Must be detail oriented and have strong customer service skills.
Minimum 3 years previous customer service experience required; in a clinical setting a plus.

Completes the start of day processes Properly room patients Takes and records vitals Assists provider during examination and with treatment Performs diagnostic studies and treatments as ordered by the provider Performs EKGs as needed Enters charges for services rendered by the medical assistant Processes medication requests per provider Handles medication refill requests Obtains prescription overrides and prior authorization when needed Manages clinical tasks Handles patient calls:
Distributes, reviews, and teaches patient education Organizes and maintains sample and supply closets Assists provider with completion of forms requested by patients Prepares charts Completes the end of day processes Job
Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED equivalent Completion of Medical Assistant program Medical Assistant Certification preferred Strong team player Basic computer proficiency Strong customer service orientation Minimum 3 year previous customer service experience required Physical and Mental Demands:
Physical requirements Able to stand or walk for long periods Use of proper body mechanics Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making High level verbal and written communication skills Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Occupational Exposure:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
