Responsibilities:
Produce accurate legal documents and correspondence Bring a legal background to the job Be computer-literate with strong word-processing skills Have good time management skills Be a self-starter Be comfortable dealing with a diverse range of people Facilitate the meeting of deadlines Organize and maintain legal files and documents Transcribe dictation and prepare correspondence Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings Assist with legal drafting and proofreading documents Handle confidential information with discretion
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role required Proficient in WordPerfect Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills Note:
