Technical Sales Position Government Military Simulation (Orlando)

You are the man or woman who has deep technical understanding, probably from a mechanical engineering degree or electrical engineering, and who quickly realized that you enjoyed spending time with people much more than detailed design engineering careers. You then went either directly to a sales position, or perhaps another customer facing post along the way, but today you have already proven yourself a strong technical sales professional with a track record of winning complex hardware and/or software sales.
You have the charisma and people skills required to effectively communicate the benefits of our technology to prospective customers, and because your approach is built on the highest professional integrity, you are equally influential with external customers as you are with our internal team. You have a history of consistently winning orders against your competitors and can share a few of your dozens of stories with us if we meet.
You are looking for the company who is growing at 30% annually, is developing new products at an astonishing rate and is quickly moving into new markets. You are aching to find a company that has all the right elements that are already in place so that you can help to double sales.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the CEO, it will be your responsibility to grow the sales and adoption of product lines in markets including government and military, simulation, training, We have already succeeded in these markets with our standard products and OEM design wins, but this will be the first Direct Sales Executive focused on these markets
Listening to our existing and prospective customers, then identifying the elements of the solution which clearly match their needs.
Establishing long term relationships with customers
Leveraging existing relationships in relevant markets
Identifying opportunities then exerting initiative, enthusiasm and strategic intelligence.
Approximately 20%-30% travel expected
Closing sales
Desired skills and experience
Required for this position:
BSME or Electrical Engineering
Proven relationship selling skills
Consultative, technical sales experience with capital budget items
The absolute highest personal integrity
Proven ability to generate leads through cold calling, relationship building, networking
Proven ability to close sales by listening to customers, identifying decision makers and stakeholders, and identifying and presenting products in our portfolio which solve our customers' needs
Drive for success that is so passionate that lost opportunity makes you squirm
Extra credit for:
Industry background in military simulation, training.
International experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
